Minneapolis Star & Tribune's Fan Cam
The Berserkers through a Big House party for the Vikings at Rams game in '00 and the Star Tribune recorded the entire event for their Fan Cam.
Star & Tribune's Fan Cam & Viking Tailgating House Party
On December 10th, 2000, the Section 205 Berserkers hosted FanCam II- a promotional event sponsored by the Minneapolis Star & Tribune and catered by Famous Daves BBQ in Apple Valley, MN. The Star & Tribune selected Mook's essay about "Why Korey Stringer Should be the Vikings MVP" and set up a camera in his house to broadcast his "real-time" comments to over 6,000 viewers world-wide. Over 20 people came to the House party in Eagan, Minnesota to show their mugs on the World Wide Web and have great time. The Vikings lost 40-29, but the party will now become an annual VikingsTailgate.com Annual Event.
December 10, 2000: Urged on by his co-worker Diane Callaghan, Mookie entered the Minneapolis Star & Tribune's FanCam Contest. The contest will allow the Berserkers from Section 205 to host a tailgate party catered by Famous Daves BBQ in Mook's home in Eagan. The wiining entry chose Korey Stringer "One of the Vikings Big Uglies" as the Vikings MVP in an essay contest judged by Star & Tribune writers. Following are details and a link to the FanCam so you can watch on Sunday December 10th!
The deadline for entering the FanCam 2 contest has passed. Our judges are analyzing the entries and will announce a decision by Wednesday. On Sunday afternoon, we'll set up a Web camera in the home of the winner. We'll beam images around the globe of fans in that home watching the Vikings-St. Louis game. The winner will provide FanCam visitors with real-time commentary on the game. Visit The FanCam at Star & Tribune from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday to see what unfolds online.
A few words about the 160-plus entries we received: Most of you chose either Daunte Culpepper or Robert Smith as the Vikings' MVP. Cris Carter and Randy Moss got plenty of votes as well. Korey Stringer, Matt Birk and Dennis Green (!) earned a couple of votes, and one wag spoke strongly in favor of former Viking Leroy Hoard. Whoever the winner is, rest assured that our analyst will be able to spell "Cris Carter" correctly. :-)
The Bio & Description as Posted on Star & Tribune.com
The host for startribune.com's FanCam 2 party is Marcus Anderson, 35, of Eagan. Marcus designs and builds Web pages for West Group. A native of Watertown, S.D., he has been a Vikings fan "ever since my dad started teaching me the ins and outs of the sport." His favorite Viking of all time? Former Viking Randall McDaniel. "I like watching the linemen at work," Marcus said, "and he was a master."
Startribune.com will hook up an Intel PC Camera Pro to a laptop in Marcus' home on Sunday afternoon. The camera will snap a photo every minute and upload it, via modem, to our servers in Minneapolis. Marcus will use the laptop to type in his running commentary for all to see. Check the Purple Page from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday to watch what unfolds at the Anderson house as Marcus and his friends watch the Vikings take on the Rams in St. Louis.
The Essay:
Here's Marcus' winning entry, explaining his choice for the Vikings' most valuable player this season:
"Korey Stringer! I am big into watching the REAL GAME in the trenches and have just marveled this year at the run blocking, pass blocking and pulling ability of Stringer, especially on the short screen passes. Although the rest of world follows the ball and sees Daunte Culpepper dumping off a short pass to Robert Smith who then runs with ease to end zone, I watch the Big Uglies set up the play. In Y2K Stringer has been absolutely amazing and deserves the recognition that the big stars always get. I don't think we'd be hearing all the talk about Robert Smith for MVP if it weren't for his fellow teammate from Ohio State."
The Actual FanCam Dialogue From December 10th, 2000:
So long from Fan Cam II. It's been real. Thanks Star Trib, and good luck to the purple nation...
06:25 PM I thought Dishman got cut. Another improbable bobble? The Fan Cam is 0-2 and 2 improbable bobbles, hmm...
06:24 PM
The Dennis Green Haters club is still in the house. I like the guy, but most Vikes fans associate him as loser,a nd I hope that changes someday. No, I pray that changes.
06:24 PM
Grinch Movie Review by Ann O Rama: Jim Carey was too psychotic
06:21 PM If this was a Playstation game, I would hit re-set and start all over. Ellen comes down to check on the debacle...
06:20 PM
Repeat onside kick
06:18 PM
This game still has a pulse. It's a weird thing. We are using 2 kickers, you don't see that too much
06:17 PM Hey Slidey, thanks for helping get all the party preparation put together for this big event our house! You are the greatest wife a guy could ever have. And Go Vikes.
06:16 PM Touchdown onside kick, touchdown, onside kick? Touchdown? Man this reminds me so much of the playoffs last year
06:14 PM What time does the game start? What happened? Nice catch CC
06:09 PM More Thanks... Hey Figge, you should come over.
06:09 PM Culpepper is struggling, the o-line looks tired and we all just want to go home and surrender.
06:07 PM We are sticking it out til the bitter end. It's painful, I can't write that enough, so if you see me at work tomorrow, please don't talk about the game. The sun will come out.. Hey The Rams have a punter? Do you see that
06:04 PM This is just like the playoffs last year. But Vikes fans, ya gotta keep in mind, that a win next week means homefield throughout the playoffs. The only saving grace about this disgusting display is that it is not a playoff loss.
06:00 PM I am gonna wake up tomorrow, the sun will come out, and the first thing I do is smash the video tape of this game.
05:59 PM Could it get anymore painful? Daunte gets sacked. Ouch.
05:58 PM We are down to 3. Deb Cynder and Ann O Rama. They all used to play softball for the Hang-ups, a team I used to Coach.
05:57 PM Kurt Warners wife just showed up on screen again. I guess a Super Bowl win means a makeover for the wife, and the team. Must be good to be the King.
05:56 PM Faulk This... you know the feeling? Marshall is just killing us, now Justin Watson. I do not want to go into work tomorrow, but I guess I have to.
05:52 PM Man this drive has been going on forever. "Since Yesterday" as Rocky said. "We should have just onside kicked!" The Defense gets a BIG F today
05:51 PM This just painful to watch. At least we have next weeks tailgating party. We will play the Packers and we still have a shot at homefield throughout the playoffs if we beat the Cheese. And really, the playoff home advantage IS HUGE, especially for diehard fans like myself and the Section 205 Berserkers who will potentially get two bonus Vikings games to tailgate for!
05:50 PM Okay, speaking of bandwagon fans. I have to be fair. Afterall we had few fans leave early from this Fan Cam event. I guess us Vikings fans shouldn't be too harsh on bandwagon fans of other teams, like the Rams. No, I don't say this because Vikes fans are guilty of being bandwagons themselves. Every NFL team has a loyal following when their team wins, and every NFL team loses fans when they, guess what? LOSE! As a matter of fact, that's why we had a few leave earlier.
It's a fact of nature that people want to be associated with winning; so it's not a surprise to see so many bandwagon jumpers and boo birds now in St. Louis (rhymes with boo us).
I contend that Vikes fans don't have a chance to test the bandwagon by jumping on or off because the Vikings don't lose too much, and we don't win too much. We are the even keel of the NFL. My tailgate friend Stier has a theory that the Vikings will always stay at the center of the never cycle through horror of a 1-15 season.
05:47 PM What's up with the Rams pants? Gold? Why, do they really need another team in the NFC West with gold pants? Are they 49er wanna be's or Saints wanna be's. That type of stuff bugs me. The Rams have 1 good year, and all of sudden the team and fans change.
Remember '99? Oh how we loved those Rams fans last year… They shook those yellow "foamy french fry things" all the way to the Super Bowl!… Kurt Warner's wife was more "Vogue" then Madonna- at least she got more face time on National TV. Their bandwagon was HUGE, but now has tons of vacancies and Boo-Birds, or is that cheer for Isaac Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce? AGAIN?
And what is it about Rams fans that makes it hard to believe they are actually loyal fans? Could it be that most of the NFL still looks at them thinks "Cardinals?" Could it be that most of those fans still wear Kansas City Chiefs t-shirts under their new Rams World Champion apparel? Could it be that Rams and Chiefs fans still do the same chant after Touchdowns? As Emimen would say, will the real Slim Shady please stand up?
Of course the fans all love the team again right now...
05:44 PM I am not one for begging or anything, but PLEASE STOP the Rams
05:41 PM Rocky comes up with an idea... ONSIDE KICK? We haven't stopped them yet, so why not?
05:37 PM TOUCHDOWN VIKINGS! We are coming back with the reserves in the basement.
05:36 PM Hi Steve, Bucky, Straw Jamms, Brad in Ohio, Baoooh, DiAngelo, Hurt...
05:35 PM I am wondering if that hit on the head in the 3rd quarter is effecting Robert Smith? He just doesn't look the same
05:34 PM Why can't we catch passes in this game? Dropsie, dropsie, and miss...
05:32 PM Back to the game plan. Keep the ball on the ground, and get back in this thing. We have alot of football to play.
05:32 PM Hey check out the Purple and Gold "Grandma Throw" That Ann O Rama, Cynder and Deb are using. It's purple, it's gold, and warming their feet. Culpepper runs for a first down
05:30 PM Losing is a disease. We are good at it. But there is a 4th quarter. What's this, half the crowd is putting on their coats and leaving? Here comes the 2nd wave of luck changers...
05:28 PM Like the Rams need a break, getting that Pass interfernce. Stier returns, and says "Someone shoot me!" I am walking home..."
05:26 PM The room is down to 3 people, and Brian, Julie and Rock have been the quietest fans all day. Hmm... I wonder what's going on in the garage?
05:25 PM Is Torry Holt afraid of taking a hit? He has been diving on the ground all day.
05:24 PM Ouch. Looks like Warner took a hit on that one. What's that a pass rush?
05:23 PM My guess is that next year in the draft we will draft 8 cornerbacks, like the Packers drafted all DBs to stop Moss in '99. By the way, where is Moss? This game is getting ugly and the room gets even quieter.
05:22 PM The lack of defense in todays game by the Vikings makes me fear for our playoff life. Ya, we are in the playoffs, but we will not fare well if this is the defense we must field.
05:21 PM Okay, we just ran Ann O Rama out of the room and Moss still drops the pass. We absolutely need to work this TRW dome. Short on the 3rd and long, and it looks like the Vikes want this game to end. "Punt and Rams score again, and it's lights out, game over. This is frustrating to know that if they get the ball they will score." Stier
05:19 PM The room gets frustratingly quiet, but it's time for something good to happen. Tough start with the false start.
05:16 PM What a great cut back by Faulk for that TD. OH MY! That was GREAT! I hate seeing that happen against us, but ya gotta give him some thumbs uo on that cut for the TD. It's 26-14 and they go for 2 and lose. We now are down by 12, so we are sill alive here.
Maybe Ann O Rama is the "Schleprock of bad luck?" I highly doubt it though. I don't believe in luck, it's all about heart, and the Vikes Defense does not have ANY right now. They need a major infusion of PRIDE!
05:14 PM At halftime, Stier, Brian, Saueey and I were talking about how it would be nice to pull this one out. "Why wouldn't you want to go into their house and elimate them? They would be done!," Stier said. I had to agree, but so far our defense shows no signs of being able to stop Warner, or Faulk.
05:11 PM Here the Rams are driving again, and it looks like Warner from last year. Warner had a God like performance last year.
Earlier this year my brother Brent (Rocky) and I were called in to do an NFL Films commercial after auditioning for it with a group of Vikes fans. Although the commercial shoot was cancelled, we were going to be asked to "Play Dr. Frankenstein, and using the body parts of just current NFL QB's, build the ultimate QB!"
We both agreed that we would use Kurt Warner's "Faith" and "God-like precision accuracy." I hope his pinky heals (but no so it's effective against the Vikes) because he truly is a joy to watch when he is healthy. For NFL fans, he is a true gift for those with eyes for talent. His story reminds me of the one I read about Johnny Unitas when I was a kid, and really into reading sports books. Looks like Warner is still jamming- sore pinky and all...
05:08 PM Okay, Defense, this is where you get your horns. We need a big stop. As Cynder said, "It's not a game til someone bleeds!" We gotta make them hurt RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW. What was that slide all about? What a baby Ram...
05:06 PM Like I said, Daunte, that middle is wide open! TD Vikes and we party like heck in the TV room. All is getting better in this Purple basement! Ann O Rama returns and Rocky says, "NO GO BACK YOU ARE BAD LUCK!"
05:03 PM We had a lot of 2nd guessing on that 4th down call, but when the flag threw down, we had much celebration. "NICE CALL DENNY!" Was yelled by many here in utter relief
05:02 PM 4th and short. Big play coming up.
05:01 PM Corbin missed that screen block, but for the most part the Vikes offensive line is doing well. About the line, I look at these guys and I think of that Austin Powers character the Big Fat B**** that says, "GET IN ME BELLY!" I love the Big Uglies on the Vikes Offensive line. They are Large in Charge, Lean & Mean, Big Nastys who just push people around. To me the best one is Korey Stringer. If you have never done this, just force yourself to look at #77 on a series of offensive plays, and watch that man work. Then in the next commercial break, go out into your garage, put your SUV (or other vehicle) in neutral, (have a friend sit in the car to steer and brake as necessary) and try to push that car around your drive way. Do this for 5-15 minutes, take a 5 to 15 minute break and repeat as necessary. Soon you will be able to get an appreciation for what it's like to be an NFL lineman. Who will learn that these guys deserve more credit then they are given. Just watch a few series and you'll see…
05:00 PM We are back. A good looking drive to start the 2nd half but Lacina misses his block on the screen and... ouch. 3rd and 17, A Big play coming up. Okay the time out is here and we needed it,
04:58 PM I guess that's why we are supposed to take a knee. Ouch.
04:36 PM Daunte. The middle is wide open. Take it and run!
04:35 PM Steussie gets penalized for sticking up for Lacina. Ya gotta take watch your teammates back. First and 25.
More penalties... we are going backwards.
04:34 PM 44 seconds and more flags... The Rams are delaying and ticking off the Vikes. But this one is on Steussie.
04:32 PM Dennis Green Clock Management is being ripped right now by Curt and Cynder. About Dennis Green: I have always said that we are better off supporting who we are, rather than ripping apart who we are not. It seems to me that many Vikings fans in the past have jumped all over Dennis Green and blame him for things that are beyond even his control. I have defended his player personnel decisions to many people several times over the past few years, and yes, I have even blamed him for some poor coaching moves, and lack of clock management on the field sometimes.
But, for all he has not done, or been blamed for, Dennis Green has done more to make the Vikings consistent contenders over the last decade. Just when you think it's safe to go to Winter Park in the off-season and write derogatory comments in the snow about a certain Vikings Head Coach, he goes out and has an 11-2 season. To all Dennis Green "witchhunters" (yes even those of you in the local press) I say, "Get off his back ALREADY!"
04:30 PM 1:11 left. We always seemm to be able to score late in the half. I think the Vikes put a field goal in with 19 seconds left in the half with Carolina. We can sore fast. We must do it now, or Moss gets out the squirt bottle again.
04:29 PM We might be in business afterall. Field Goal. Hear the Rams fans BOOOING....Or is that chants for Isaac Bruuuuuuuce?
04:28 PM Two Minute Warning! Man, this game is going by so fast. It seems like we just kicked off. Okay we hold them to a field goal here, and we can still damage the lambs in the second half. Afterall we do get the ball back. I would love to see the Rams cry. Remember the Cry Baby Rams: I miss good old Cry Baby Vermeil. Maybe he could shed a tear for ol Martzie. C'mon guys it's okay to cry every now and then, but Vermeil cried every second of every down last year. It's called overkill, and I can see why he retired. With all due respect, he did "fall in love" with his team, and they seemed to appreciate his style. Nothing wrong with that. I would like to see the Vikings find that "Jerry McGuire- like hugging- closeness too." Whatever it takes to win…
04:27 PM A stupid penalty. What are we gonna do take Warner out? I guess that's one way to get rid of the hot hand, but I don't like it. Maybe the throw down will rattle him. We must hold them to a Field Goal.
04:24 PM 17-7. We need a big hold here. Dang. Warner throws another first down, and Ann O Rama says "I think he needs a snuggy!"
04:20 PM Man, it's getting loud down here. The momentum as changed. The loud gals, just scared off Saueey's 5-year old Twins who ran upstairs in fear. We are getting aggressive, and yelling at the TV. Stories abound about our days as kids and the fun we had playing football in the schoolyard.
04:19 PM Ann O Rama joins the gang. We now have many new faces, Ann O Rama says, "I wanna see a broken leg!" Cynder, "What about a dead guy" Don't let anyone ever tell ya that women don't get bloodthirsty for Football games...
04:17 PM By the way, I apologize to all the English majors out there who get frustrated with missplellings. I am typing fast and sometimes botch up with a thumb here and there.
04:15 PM Jim Nelson. A Viking from Penn State! Man, to me that is the best combo of all-time! I always wanted to be a Nittany Viking, so maybe I shouldf make Nelson my favorite Vike. Hmmm... Did you see that hit?
04:14 PM YESSSSSS!! A first down. The momentum has changed. Maybe the change of personnel helped! TD VIKES! Johnny McWilliams. This is all about Cynder and Deb in the House. As Rocky says, "Hey Lambs, you might wanna think about covering Johnny McWilliams!"
04:11 PM This is the play of the game. 3rd and short. We make it we win
04:08 PM If only I could type as fast as the swear words are getting flung around here. We are frustrated and need a score. Bobby Smith time. Someone step up. AND we get the ball at halftime..
04:08 PM Ed-- I take that kindness back. You are Rams fan and just don't belong here.
04:07 PM This just in: Hi Ed from Deb and Cyndi.
04:06 PM A break? We need to pick on that Dre Bly punk. C'mon. Rocky points out that the Rams are the 24th ranked defense in the NFL. Take advantage.
04:05 PM Let's get the offense going. Stick to the game plan and make it work.
04:03 PM We have the Rams right where we want them. We are only down 17-0, and will get back in it. Daunte MUST show up. This is the Rams defense, they are terrible, right?
04:02 PM New faces downstairs now. The trainwreck we now have come to know as Viking Game vs. St. Louis is getting depressing, so we brought some new people down here. Welcome Cynder and Deb. Cynder is yelling loudly- SMOKE THIS BOY--- SMOKE THIS BOY... Stier is arguing that the line of scrimmage was malformed on the the last play, Again the Refs do not call the penalty...
03:59 PM I have a feeling that there might be some records broke in this game. Kurt Warner's pinky looks just fine indoors. Maybe if we could get a pass rush he wouldn't look so Warner like?
03:54 PM This just in: The Rams are BAAAAAAACK. Of course the Vikes are just NOT showing up yet!
03:52 PM Man, we are just not playing well at all. Looks like the Rams have a serious desire to win this one. Stier just asked, "What's worse, getting blown in the first half or in the second half?" He was sarcastically referring to last years 2nd half drubbing in the playoffs
03:51 PM Clash of Horns: Vikings Rams Battles to Death The last time these teams played, the Rams put a major beating on the Vikes, drubbing them 49-37. For Minnesota fans, the loss was painful, but this isn't the only time these teams have nailed each other's coffins shut. St. Louis fans might not remember these battles, because they were cheering for the Football Cardinals not so long ago, so here is a reminder of the Horn Death Matches of Yore: 1969: Vikes beat Rams 23-20 in NFC Playoffs 1974: Vikes beat Rams 14-10 in NFC Championship 1976: Vikes beat Rams 24-13 in NFC Championship 1977: Vikes beat Rams 12-8 NFC Playoffs 1978: Rams beat Vikes 34-10 NFC Playoffs 1988: Vikes beat Rams 20-17 NFC Playoffs 1999: Rams beat Vikes 49-37 NFC Playoffs
03:48 PM We hear applause from the upstairs. The Vikes get a first down to Cris Carter.
03:47 PM Someone just Schnelkered the Offense. What kind of call was that? If you might recall Schnelker was the Vikes O-Coordinator back in the Burnsie days and was known for running on 3rd and long, or in weird scenarios.
03:45 PM My bad on the flag be called in our favor. The penalty for the Bob and Weave WAS NOT CALLED? This is not right. Either you have rules and enforce them, or you go XFL on us. Refs, you are not doing your job.
03:42 PM Marshall Faulk... where is the flag. Okay, finally we get a break, a penalty on the party celebration ... finally. Of course that was sarcastic. So far the only good thing about this game is the Famous Daves food that we were given. Let's get some fresh faces down here and see what happens. Cynder, Ann O Rama, Kurt, get Down here...
03:39 PM They better reverse that. My gosh, the refs are so SPAZED this year. Camera angle is bad. Dang
03:37 PM THATS A fumble! REVIEW
03:35 PM Who the heck is Jeff Robinson? Come on Vikes. WE have a stunned group of full fans here. Thanks Famous Daves for the outstanding grub...
03:35 PM We are looking tight? Why? Why the Vikings Should Win: 1. Revenge: Last year the Rams kicked the **** out of us at that TRW Dome. (and it looks like they are ready again) Believe me, the Vikings remember that, and if they can do anything to help eliminate the "Lambs" and avenge last year's nightmare, they will. 2. Home field advantage throughout 3. "Getting R-E-S-P-E-C-T!" 4. Daunte Culpepper. Dennis should have put him to run the ball after seeing Jeff George point at the fumbles in last years playoff game. He didn't send him in then, but this year Daunte will have a mjor impact on this game. 5. The Offensive Line: There is a reason why all the offensive big names are scoring again for the Vikes. 6. The Defense has been playing great as of late; turnovers and fumbles are coming our way. I predict Kailee Wong will get a fumble or pick today (he's been hawking a lot lately). If the Vikes hold the Rams to 20-27 points, we should win.
03:33 PM
What did I tell ya? Run the clock and watch my boy Korey S move the line
03:30 PM First Play prediction: Robert Smith off tackle..
03:29 PM Now that Vikes are on offesne...The Vikes have much at stake for this game as well, but they are not backed into the corner as much as the Rams. The Vikes are already IN the palyoffs, and all they have to do is is win 1 more game out of the next 3, to clinch home field. By the way, the NFC gets to wear the home jersey's in the Super Bowl this year, just thought you might want to know that in case you were wondering.
03:27 PM Flashback to last year. Bob and weave, and that just has to tork the Vikings off even more. So far the Vikes are doing what I expect. All year long we always give up the first points on the first drive. No surprise. Our D doesn't show up anyway until we score first. We'll be alright... I hope...
03:25 PM Stier liked THAT run defense
03:24 PM Stier one of the tailgaters here says that we should stop playing the run. He is frustrated. He is wearing the Carter jersey,
03:23 PM Kenny Wright can tackle, er hit's like a truck
03:22 PM Okay, since the Rams have the ball and it looks like they are moving it, here is why the Rams Should Win (Vike reason coming up): 1. They are the World Champion Rams (to me that "WC" in front of any team earns my immediate respect; even those Damn Packers of '96) 2. There is NO tomorrow, and this should be the last home game of the year for the Rams. If they lose this game, they lose season tickets for next year. Remember the NFL is a business 3. They have Kurt Warner coming back from injury. If he's on… watch out… 4. Marshall Faulk- he is getting healthy again. 5. Az-Zahir Hakim- Dangerous punt returner speed burner; wide receiver and X Factor for this game 6. I won't mention Isaac Bruce because everyone else does. Personally, after watching Randy Moss and Cris Carter (and yes Jake Reed and even Matthew Hatchette) over the past few years, Bruce just doesn't stand out to me. He's good but he's not VIKING good. I don't know what that means, but run with it. That's the homerism in me.
03:21 PM For the Rams, this IS their season. They are favored by 3.5, and I have heard grumblings by some around the Twin Cities that this shouldn't be so. They are saying it's a "diss" on Minnesota, who is 11-2 and leading the NFC to have a team like the Rams, 8-5, favored. Hmm… I don't think that favorites matter in a game like this, I think it's a matter of "who wants it more, and who is willing to stick their neck out to go and get it?" That being said, the Rams should be favored and they are a team that SCARES me to death!
03:18 PM Mitch Berger must be getting healthy again. Let's see the Defense get a pick right away...
03:18 PM Welcome to Fan Cam II- My name is Marcus Anderson, known in the tailgate lots at Washington Avenue as "Mookie Vike." We have a big crowd here at the Anderson home, many fellow tailgaters and friends have stopped by to share our Viking Loyalty and cheer on the purple in this big game. And this is a BIG GAME for both teams to say the least. There is a lot at stake for each team. This is the Rams season, it is a must-win, as a loss puts them in a precariously bad place. If they lose they drop to 8-6, and they have to face Tampa and New Orleans in their last 2 games on the road. That would be a tough "row to ho" and could possibly spell Playoff Death for the World Champions of last year.
The Vikings can clinch home field for the playoffs and the NFC Central Division Crown. But who really cares about the NFC Central Crown? All it means is that there are a bunch of more new hats, pennants and t-shirts to buy. The Vikings fans have more NFCC Champion Memorabilia then any other team on planet earth. What we want are some t-shirts and hats with a bigger prize emblazened across them.
