Vikings Postgame Report: The Vikings Get Frustrated In Philly 24 – 7 | Week 2

Welcome back to the Vikings Postgame Report. Week 2 saw the Vikings on prime time on Monday Night Football in a late-night affair in Philadelphia. The Eagles outsprinted the Vikings 24 to 7, as all points were scored in the first half of the game. Philadelphia amassed 486 all-purpose yards, while the Vikings finished their night with just 264 yards. QB Kirk Cousins 3 interceptions dampened any momentum the offense tried to generate, as he finished with 241 combined yards of offense and one touchdown toss. Eagles QB Jalen Hurts took advantage of his opportunities, finishing with a combined 390 yards of offense, 3 touchdowns and an INT. Bright spots for Minnesota included Patrick Peterson blocking a field goal and LB Jordan Hicks snagging an INT, but ultimately neither opportunity led to points on the board for the purple. Vikings Tight End Irv Smith Jr. had the lone touchdown for the Vikings offense, as Cousins connected with him on a 2-yard pass in the 2nd quarter. In the end, the Vikings didn’t finish drives or put enough points on the board to win. Paul Allen and Pete Bercich break down what went wrong and where they think the team needs to shore up their deficiencies before Detroit comes to town this Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium. Also hear from Head Coach Kevin O’Connell and QB Kirk Cousins as they address the media in their postgame press conferences, Gabe Henderson and Ben Leber go Between The Lines fueled by Gatorade, and Ron Johnson gives his 3 Takes on tonight’s loss. All of this and more is in the Week 2 edition of the Vikings Postgame Report.
