Vikings Postgame Report: Vikings Defeat The 49ers On Monday Night Football, Improve to 3-4 | SF | Week 7

Welcome to Week 7 edition of the Vikings Postgame Report. The Vikings won a hard-fought battle versus the 49ers on Monday Night, 22-17. Offensively, the Vikings were attacking through the air with Jordan Addison and T.J. Hockenson leading the pack. Quarterback Kirk Cousins was dealing. Kirk threw to 9 different receivers for 378 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 INT. Rookie Jordan Addison had a breakout night, hauling in 7 receptions for 123 yards and 2 touchdowns. Those 2 touchdowns increased his season total to 6 and tied a Vikings rookie record (Randy Moss) for most touchdowns in the first 7 games of his career. The running game also kept the clock running, combining for 74 yards critical yards. Defensively, Cam Bynum had 2 timely interceptions, including the game sealing grab with 33-seconds left in the game. He also led the team with 9 total tackles and 2 pass deflections. Kicker Greg Joseph went 3-of-4 in field goals, hitting a 54-yarder in the Third Quarter and scored 10 points overall. In the end, the Vikings played an aggressive style that helped earn them the victory.  The Vikings now move on to face the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field next Sunday in a critical NFC North matchup. Paul Allen and Pete Bercich recap the win, including: the Vikings stepping up in the underdog role, Hockenson and Addison’s stellar night, Vikings confidence growing on Defense, building on the offensive line’s momentum, and the exciting prospects moving forward.  Plus, Head Coach Kevin O’Connell and Quarterback Kirk Cousins both spoke to the media at the postgame press conference. All of this and more is in the 2023 Week 7 edition of the Vikings Postgame Report.
